Is anyone else in a mood?Β  We’re still on holidays here in Canada until theΒ  first week of September but I tell you I’m really getting ready for the routine to return. Every year, every late summer, I find that the lack of UNINTERRUPTED time to myself for even just a couple of hours a day has me feeling very out of sorts.

Outdoor youth sports and the weather gods

I spend half of baseball season tethered to my phone or some other device where teamsnap is loaded into.

This year’s baseball season has been a particularly wet one so I have spent more, not less time, keeping an eye on that app.

I’m not feeling it this year. I’m mostly just annoyed. πŸ™„

Fun with dogs, aka never a dull moment

Dog walking in Toronto’s neighbourhoods is in actual fact a fairly decent part-time gig. Unlike in some parts of Europe where you may only make a few coins to look after a dog, here the pay is enough to supply groceries for a family of four if you walk four to five times a week.

The standard rate, according to research in my city, is around $18-25 per half hour for one dog.

HALF an hour. That’s 30 minutes of walking and socializing with a dog.

Not too shabby, right?
