Is anyone else in a mood? We’re still on holidays here in Canada until the first week of September but I tell you I’m really getting ready for the routine to return. Every year, every late summer, I find that the lack of UNINTERRUPTED time to myself for even just a couple of hours a day has me feeling very out of sorts.
So last night I slept all alone in the house.
I have plans for my weekend, to get things done and accomplished. The family is away on their annual camping trip and this mom here is on a roll.
Hello Monday! I am, and have been craving marinated olives and feta cheese. 😊
This morning I woke with a headache. Again. It’s coming from the back of my neck which is tight and sore.
I spend half of baseball season tethered to my phone or some other device where teamsnap is loaded into.
This year’s baseball season has been a particularly wet one so I have spent more, not less time, keeping an eye on that app.
I’m not feeling it this year. I’m mostly just annoyed. 🙄
Dog walking in Toronto’s neighbourhoods is in actual fact a fairly decent part-time gig. Unlike in some parts of Europe where you may only make a few coins to look after a dog, here the pay is enough to supply groceries for a family of four if you walk four to five times a week.
The standard rate, according to research in my city, is around $18-25 per half hour for one dog.
HALF an hour. That’s 30 minutes of walking and socializing with a dog.
Not too shabby, right?
I have seen recent pictures of Germany, Switzerland, places in the UK and even Vancouver on Canada’s west coast. Spring seems to have sprung in all those places.
Here in Toronto?
Yesterday was puppy day.
And you’re gonna be in trouble…
Wasn’t that a song at one time? lol
