I’m going to let you in on a little secret. It has to do with yeast.
The continuation of the Monkey Bread saga continues…click here for part 1 from yesterday.

My tween girl and I were baking bread (me) and Monkey Bread (her). While the doughs were rising, and the dishes piling up, and I had my back turned for a moment, she disappeared.
Because, kids. 🙃
“Let’s make Monkey Bread,” she said.
“I wanna bake,” she said.
Disclaimer: this is an attempt at some silly humour. If you’re [still] a snowflake and can’t take my attempt of describing a slice of life in a locked-down, metropolitan 🇨🇦 family, best piss off before leaving a passive aggressive comment. Sorry not sorry.

The apocalyptic stash of Pringles is now officially gone.
I bought three cans and a few bags of chips before this all happened, and the boys have been out twice for supplies since we sequestered ourselves in our home in IDK, 14, 15 days now.
The chips are gone. All of them. 😶
I find myself facing a dilemma. It appears I no longer have a choice here.
I’m going to lock my teenager in the shed. 😛
I had to hide the stash of mini chocolate bars.
Backstory: I started buying those little Halloween candies a few months ago to give the kids in their lunch bags. Nut free ones like KitKat, Mars and Aero. I added some others with nuts for treats at home, like Snickers, Oh Henry and Reese cups.
I stored them in these giant plastic mixed-nuts containers from Costco and kept them on the counter next to the toaster.
Well that didn’t work for long because, teenagers. 😳
Staying home? Beware of this:

Maintain a distance of 6 meters between you and:
- The fridge
- The kitchen cupboards
- The pantry
- The normal emergency food stash
- The apocalypse emergency stash
- The car emergency stash
- The kids school lunch snack stash
- The kids own secret candy stash
- The birdseed/pet kibble/dog treats stash…
What day is it? What time?
Note: This is not a comprehensive list.
Things I have not done since the social distancing aka lock-down started 6 days ago:
Wanna know something funny?
I’m stressed. Apparently we’re going to be moving. Did you know this? Neither did I. 😬
So while I’m trying to de-stress my post-boot-camp body and de-stress my brain with this endless moving-not-moving situation, I turn on the tv for some up to date info on this freaking virus and…
